For inside mount blinds, the factory slightly reduces the width you provide (W) by about 1/4" to 1/2" to ensure the blind can fit and operate within the casing without rubbing. When you order from GetDIYBlinds, you simply provide the true window opening size, and we handle the deduction.
We recommend Inside Mount for a clean look, but only if your window has enough depth (check the product spec sheet). Choose Outside Mount if your window is shallow, crooked, or if you want superior light blockage for bedrooms.
